PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Sunshine Works is a work preparation program. Sunshine Works was developed in response to the IDD youth unemployment rate crisis. The development of social skills is fundamental to gainful employment, and for young adults with IDD, this can be one of the most challenging aspects of acquiring and maintaining employment. The Sunshine Works Program is a paid internship for high school graduates ages 18 – 25 who are transitioning from school to the workforce.
Our specialized camp programs inspire all campers to reach their full potential. The primary goals are to help campers build self-esteem, develop social skills, self-expression, make and maintain friendships and the campers receive abundant individualized attention all in a private setting where the campers enjoy typical outdoor camp activities.
